Rafe here.
Morning reconnoiters this week. Puzzling. Object between sidewalk and street, on second block of walk. Gave it a wide berth first two days: walked a curve into house lawn, bad manners but necessary. Third day walked up to it, carefully.
Here's a close-up:
Sources report it's a Dried Hydrangea Blossom. Curious, a DHB in the snow, middle of February. More curious, next day:
Gone.
Any other DHB sightings out there?
Woof.

Oh, MY! What a mystery! We don't have any DHB sightings here ... but Zim stared and stared and stared (it's what we do) at a bunny that was sitting in the middle of the road the other night. It was still there first thing in the morning! He was so keyed on it, he wouldn't go potty! Later that morning, Dad let him get closer to it. Dad called it a "chunk of dirty sludge that fell off someone's car". Is that a new kind of bunny, do you think? It's not there anymore. Sure looked like a regular bunny to us!

Amber

That was really strange! I wonder where it came from and where it went? Do you think aliens laid it there and were watching you look at it?
I'm glad Pippin still likes me even though I don't do any useful working kind of stuff. I'm only good at being pretty and sweet.
Big Wags,
Isabella
very strange!!!
I think a squirrel put it there so they can throw stuff at you, like in the comic strip Mutts.
Hey pups!
Amber, I saw a bunny like that in a driveway, only I suspected it was a squirrel. Stay clear!
Hey C, do you get tumbleweeds?
Oscar - loving the snow. Sorry you ran out.
Isabella, you are bella! We humble pups need your beauty in our world.
Girasol - Mutts! My favorite comic!
Woof-a-roni,
