From the Pippin puppy archives

Since I couldn't post pictures yesterday, I thought I'd post some of my favorites from my puppy days.

This first one is from my very first day with my people on Jan. 1, 2004. I was exactly 7 weeks old. I was born in Canada and I howled like a seagull the whole way from Canada to Michigan (about 6 hours).

This one was when I was about 14 weeks old. My ear stood up about 2 weeks before this and it never went back down (and the other one never stood up). Yes, I was truly this adorable.

This is me with my good buddy Fritz the cat. When he first came to live with my people, he was really afraid of dogs, but now he loves us and even calls us to come play with him.

And this is me playing with a squash. I have always been very resourceful at getting my needs met.

Hey Pippin! I just saw your name (link) where someone tagged you and I had not heard of your blog (or Moondance's) but I read Lomax's blog all the time. Sometimes, it takes a while before people hear about the blog. I found that if I left comments on other peoples' blogs, they might come to read mine.

Good luck with the woolies!

Sorry, that was MoonShadow. We humans call that a brain fart!

Thanks guys--I had to be pretty cute so that my people didn't kill me. I was 18 mos old before they were able to do something other than pay attention to me in the evenings and I still get into mischief sometimes (I'll post on some recent shenanigans later). They completely stopped watching television because I fussed in the crate and wouldn't settle down out of it. I see it as helping their budget because it meant they got rid of the cable TV.

A squash -- I will have to give that a try. I love a good potato. The starchy fruit of the earth is truly a blessing from Allah.

I have fulfilled my tagging obligations, Pippin.

Pippin!!!

I'm Pippin, too!!!!!! I'm a Wire Hair Fox Terrier and I live in Troy, New York!!!! You and I share a very uncommon name- i thought i was the one and only!!! Wow! I found you via gruffpuppy via Magic Fever via Axel. Too funny. How did you get your name? I'm named for the apple, the archaic word for little seed, the B'way musical and of course a character out of Dickens! All that in such a cute name.
woof woof!
Pippin the first (I'm older!)

Pippin,

I too love squash. It makes my brindle shine. Sorry I couldn't play tag, communism and everything. I'm sure you understand.

xo,

Billy

Cute stuff my little Princess. Course I was a horribly cute puppy, but the interloper I chased off kept all the pictures just to hurt my sainted mother. But I digress.

Don't forget to surf some pie for me, a little water, some chips if you've got em.
